CREW ROLES
captain ;;the leader of the crew and the one in charge of making major decisions. normally, they are the strongest members with a clear goal and possess a personality charismatic enough to convince others to join them in a life of piracy. they are the head of the crew and often its most infamous member.
first mate ;;the captain's right hand man, the first mate is second in command. they are usually someone the captain trusts completely the guide the crew in their absence.
navigator ;;an essential member of any crew, the navigator uses a unique compass known as a log pose to travel the grand line. due to the brutal and constantly changing climates and weather patterns of the grand line, a navigator's duty is to keep the ship on track and away from any dangers.
sniper ;;using ranged weaponry, a sniper finds his or her home in the crow's nest of the ship, using their sharp senses to spot any dangers long before his or her crew notices. they have impeccible aim with any weapon, whether it be a bow, guns, slingshots, or throwing knives.
cook ;;in the middle of the ocean, food can be difficult to come by, especially food made properly and cooked to perfection. thus, chefs are common on pirate crews, and are made in charge of both procuring and creating meals for their crew. nutrition and special preparation of dangerous ingredients are essential parts of being a good cook for life while sailing the sea.
doctor ;;another essential crew member, doctors treat and cure medical illnesses within their crew. because of the violent nature of piracy, injuries are all too common, not to mention the numerous tropical diseases throughout the Grand Line. having an on staff doctor is a vital part of surviving any adventure.
shipwright ;;the brutal nature of the Grand Line not only takes its toll on the human body, but the body of the ship as well. shipwrights are in charge of the upkeep of any sea vessel, ensuring that the ship itself is in good condition. they are men and women who take pride in their creation, and treat their ship as their most prized possession.
archaeologist ;;an uncommon, but useful role to have filled in any crew. and archaeologist travels the world in search of knowledge and the truth of the "Void Century" a time in which no written record exists. they are usually knowledgeable about other islands and the cultures, using their intelligence to assist the crew on their travels.
musician ;;entertainers who help to boost morale by performing for their crew. while it is an uncommon profession for a pirate, they help lift the spirits of their allies while bored and tired while sailing the ocean.
other ;;there are many other potential crew roles, including helmsmen, quartermasters, cabin boys/girls, even fashion designers. use your creativity and create your own role for any crew!
